Research Associate

Youngseop Lee is currently a research associate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern University. He received his PhD in Bio and Brain Engineering from KAIST in 2017 after BS and MS degrees in Bio and Brain Engineering from KAIST in 2010 and 2012, respectively. His research interests include N/MEMS and nanophotonic materials and devices for biomedical imaging and sensing applications and advanced micro-/nano-fabrication methods.

Caralyn Paige Collins

PhD Student

Caralyn Collins is a PhD candidate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern University. She holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky and a MS in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University. Her research lies at the intersection of additive manufacturing and regenerative engineering, with her work focusing on the production of active scaffolds for implantation.

Evan Hunter Jones

Evan Hunter Jones

PhD Student

Evan Hunter Jones is a PhD candidate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern University. He got his BS in Engineering Physics from the University of New Hampshire before working for the Department of Defense for two years as an optical metrologist. His research focuses on developing novel AM techniques for printing faster, larger, and more accurate parts with next generation materials.

Junqing’s research interest lies in process development of  additive manufacturing and advanced manufacturing, and its application in biomedical engineering. 

Xiangchen Xu

PhD student

Xiangchen holds a bachelor’s degree in Nanoengineering from UC San Diego and am currently pursuing a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern University.

His research focuses including nanofabrication, ultrasound detectors, and the development of advanced 3D printing methods.

Bianca Anabel Navarro

Bianca Anabel Navarro

PhD Student

Bianca is a biomedical engineering PhD student who holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is a participant in the Center for Advanced Regenerative Engineering’s RE-training program interested in the convergence of regenerative engineering, biomaterials, and manufacturing methods.
